Countdown: Turdblossom Talks
By Heather Wednesday Feb 04, 2009 6:30am
David Shuster filling in for Keith talks to Jonathan Turley about the latest twists and turns with Rove refusing to appear before Congress. Turley feels that Rove can no longer continue to maintain the untenable position that they're going to invoke executive privilege to protect the executive branch against information from the executive branch and that Rove might be finally be looking at a real chance of indictment and contempt chareges.
We can only hope. If anyone finally gets to the bottom of the Don Siegelman case I think Karl Rove is in big trouble. This latest news is a good step in the right direction.

It will be theatrics just as the Democrats did while investigating the Iran/Contra fiasco, just as the Republicans did while investigating the Waco fiasco and in the end no one will be held accountable because there is no incentive to correct a fixed system.
I'd love nothing more than to see Bush do a perp walk (As he should have in the 80's for all insurance scams he was involved in to help daddy fund the illegal wars in Nicaragua) for his role in any number of the treasonous scandals over the past eight years. Seeing his henchman Rove doing the walk would be good too. But who can honestly say in the eight years of spying on journalists, politicians and everyone else that these guys couldn't blackmail your grandmother if they wanted to?
On a side note: I like Jonathan Turley but is he the only legal expert MSNBC can afford or something? I mean, there's got to be other voices they can get. It's becoming a parody of "Here's our story and here's Jonathan Turley to repeat everything we say."
roves attorneys went on 3 weeks vacation. so this is put off for 3 weeks??????? when rove shows up all he will say is, I don't rember, I cant recall, ect, ect.
