From The Colbert Report May 6, 2009. Stephen salutes Byron York for his column at the Washington Examiner: The black-white divide in Obama's popularity:

Colbert: Mr. York and I have tremendous respect for the opinions of African Americans. Except when they make it hard to measure the opinions of actual Americans.

That's why I think, for accuracy's sake, polls in the future should include the standard disclaimer, "plus or minus black people."

By the way, a lot of people called York's column offensive. But if you eliminate people who hate racism, it's not.

colbert is a genious. it is true.

Just remember, you are always right +/- the people who disagree with you.

pretend to understand what York had in mind.

Holy crap, I just about lost it when I read that. He is a genius, and it's really quite frightening that people think he's actually serious. Holy cow.

(what York wrote) than what got Don Imus fired.

It's all about intent. Imus's intention is to be crass, juvenile and provocative. Byron York's earnest intention gives what he says "gravitas" when none is warranted.

Imus was speaking off the cuff. York wrote his opinions down and edited them before producing that steaming pile.

Obama wouldn't even exist.

Update: Course if you believe them scientists, neither would the rest of the human race.

I have to agree wholeheartedly If we could just confine all polls to white people we would get much more accurate.
Damn I don't know how these moron 21%ers
do it I can't even pretend and get past gagging on their infantile beliefs

we should all endorse Palin in 2012. she's the "manchurian" candidate for the republican party

And if we can get him to fall for a donkey we can reuse that gif of the elephant riding the donkey :D

MAN the dems just gave Specter the Judiciary subcommittee chairmanship. Just when you thought the greenlighters on all of Bush's nonsense had grown some they emphatically prove you wrong. Now Mr. Norm Coleman should be seated has no incentive to vote with the democrats.

and just needs to be ignored. Why they have this guy on the networks to spew his racist opinions is beyond me. Oh, and what's up with that Grandma hairdo?

How about a chorus for ol' Byron?

Asshole - Denis Leary

You're not insightful, Byron - you're just an asshole. Congratulations!

holy sh@t this vid is funny

I live in DC. At the bus stop is the Washington Examiner. Byron used to be feature once or twice a week and now its seem he's there everyday. The Examiner is a right wing, Republican rag that attacks President Obama daily. To be called a newspaper is a joke. It offers no opposite points of view. Byron really showed his true colors on this article.

a lot of these new right wing op-eds and talking points, sound like they're coming straight out of the mouth of Ron Burgundy.
