It's hard to be in the mood for satire when so many things in this country are so fucked up and no one is acknowledging that we see it.
Instead of satire, I'd really like to have someone of substance come on the teevee or the radio and rip both Congress and the new administration a new one for failing to consider the basic needs of "the commoners" in the U.S.
We're losing our jobs, we're sending our kids to fight in two needless wars (with no end to either in sight), we have inadequate health insurance at best, and our government is both spying on us and lying to us about that fact.
People like Colbert (and not just him) hold the microphone. Where's the righteous indignation. I'm sorry, but I just don't find poking fun at dumbass Repugnicant shenanigans funny anymore. People in this country are hurting. If they spilled out into the streets, they'd be ridiculed, then arrested, then ignored.
OK, end of rant. Resume regularly scheduled programming.

I'm still pissed off, though.
Some bullshit with international copyright laws and shit. This "You can't see this in your country shit is pissing me off. It's isolating everyone, when we have a real chance to experience other peoples' cultures, at least the electronically recorded pieces of it.
