Chuck Todd Can't Bother to Challenge John Boehner on Lies or Ethics Hypocrisy
I guess it's asking too much of Chuck Todd to challenge John Boehner when he comes on his show and lies through his teeth. Help me out if I missed something here. He claims they're going to cut Medicare, calls the United States health care system the "best in the world" and again infers that the health care bill is a "government takeover" of the health care system. Todd then allows a guy who was handing out checks from the tobacco lobby on the House floor back in 1996 to go on about House ethics and Eric Massa's problems. To Todd's credit he did at least bother to mention John Ensign, but when Boehner writes that off as not being his problem because he's in the House and not the Senate he lets that go as well.
Here's your supposed "liberal" television network folks. I expect we'll get something similar when Tom Brokaw interviews Karl Rove on Meet the Press.

Look at the way MSN's talk show hosts have switch from saying that the health reform bill does nothing if it doesn't have a public option or a policy to control cost from the insurance companies , to saying that this piece of crap the democrats are pushing down our throats in better than nothing... If Obama and the democrats wanted a public or single payer option in this so called health reform bill it WOULD have been there.. To say they will come back and put one is nothing but BS... Obama , Emanuel and the democrats show what type of deal they make with the Health & drug companies from the very start.. They stop any negotiations for lower drug prices and let the health company put whatever they wish in their health bill as long as they could take credit for putting more people on insurance policy , for their historical moment in the Sun...

I was watching some of this when it happened. Chuck should have challenged every one of Boehner's points, but he just sat there like a bump on a log. David Shuster would have called out Boehner on at least some of his bs talking points, I'm sure of it.

I think Chuck got promoted too quickly after the death of Tim. Now he's become too big for his pants and I'm not sure he even knows how to zip them up yet. We all know that Gregory is a very poor excuse for an interviewer. He's more about himself than he is about doing actual reporting and giving actual facts.
The problem is the reporters on NBC and CNBC all have cable news channel shows of their own. They aren't only reporters they are hosts of their own shows, where their guests are the very people they are supposed to be doing unbiased news reporting about. How can you dig the dirt on someone and then have them as a guest on your show? It won't happen. No one is going to want to go on a show where he or she knows the host is going to spill the beans about them.
In my opinion, reporters are wearing too many hats these days and it makes them irrelevant.

I saw Chuck Todd on Real Time with Bill Maher awhile back. Mike Taibbi ripped him a new asshole. I read later that Chuck Todd whined to him that he had made him look bad on national television. Taibbi told him to fuck off, he had made himself look bad. I also noticed that the other guests were saying things like damn, shit and bullshit. Not Chuck, though.

Funny, Boehner saying the healthcare bill makes people worry about keeping their jobs. I think the passage of the healthcare bill makes Boehner afraid of losing his job in his next election.
