Just what part of the Rabbit Hole did Chris Matthews' memory bank have to go down for him to have made this statement? Does he think that none of us have access to the transcripts or video of his show for the past week? After spending a good deal of the last week fear mongering and promoting the Betsy McCaughey talking points on end of life counseling, Matthews actually has the gall to call it "Dr. Death rumor mongering".
Chris, if you actually believe this statement and that the "deathers" rhetoric is fear mongering, how about you start by not doing it on yourself on Hardball?

Well this week, brand new NBC/Wallstreet Journal poll has a dramatic finding on what the President's persuasion has accomplished. The poll suggests that the people who've changed their mind since April had decided reform would make their own future care worse. But GE is NBC, CNBC and MSNBC. And it is important to know that GE is a part of the military industrial complex, and the "We bring good things to life" is a big lie. Because of GE's involvement in the MIC, it is really hard for me to believe what anyone employed by them says.
We just found out that the CEO of GE and Murdoch are controlling the content of Oreilly and Olbermann, at least since May. That Richard Wolffe is working for a big company with ties to large corporations and is still used as an analyst, and even substitute host, w/o any acknowledgment of this stunning fact by MSNBC, Wolffe himself or EVEN KO.

Tweety has been doing pretty well lately but then this week he gave credence to the Deathers and it knocked him down a few rungs on the ladder. When he did that he sounded like a Birther. Why does ne not think before he spews forth?
Tweety lost most of his brain cells when he was a drunk and now has a habit of rambling bullshit and forgetting what he said and when.
And When he is talking and thinking about what he is going to say next he is not capable of listening to what the other person is saying so they get away with saying things that need to be questioned. Tweety doesn't hear it becasue he is too interested in his next question.

This post is untrue and I have to ask why you keep insisting and making up stuff all the time. I honestly wonder what Mr. Amato has to say about this. You even went to the lenght of manipulating transcripts to make your case against Matthews. I get it, you hate him, but how does that translate on you making up stuff? Please don't delete this, I understand you have the power to do it but let's have an honest dialogue.
Was there something in there that obfuscates that there is a break or omission in the transcript? Was the video cut to make him say something he wasn't?
The break at the first quote was a video clip played by Matthews and the second break was for a video clip too. I just watch the video, and everything he said is in her transcript.
You make accusations, but have no examples. You just say it is that way, and we're supposed to believe you?
Here's a hint: WATCH THE VIDEO. The transcript is verbatim. Explain how a verbatim transcript equals 'manipulation'

On the post titled "Matthews Calls Joan Walsh's Observations on Divide and Conquer Strategies "Marxist", right after Matthews makes the marxist remark and he explains that "No, but it‘s an analysis. It‘s an economic analysis of human behavior. Yes, it is an economic analysis of human behavior, and I think it‘s more complicated. I think we all have tribalist tendencies. We‘ve got to overcome them. I don‘t think the corporate world created those tribalist tendencies. I think we‘ve..." we can clearly hear Mrs. Walsh saying "yes, it is". And right after he finishes this sentence, Ms. Walsh says "I think they are playing them, you are right.
Now, her agreement with his analysis debunks the entire point that the post was trying to make. He didn't call her a marxist, he said that her analysis sort of almost Marxist analysis that there‘s "some grand sort of almost Marxist analysis. Now, how can be offensive towards her when she agrees with his point?
The attempt to make Matthews a monster failed and believe that we, progressives, deserve better than crappy journalism and manipulation of words. Is you question answerd?
