Jane Mayer's expose in the The New Yorker explains how the U.S. is conducting a secret war in Pakistan using unmanned Predator drones. Americans have largely come to accept the Predator drone strikes as necessary but PBS' Tavis Smiley warned the attacks could turn futures generations against the U.S. "Killing is killing and somebody ought to say that," Smiley said Sunday on NBC.

And using a preditor is no different the flying a plane into a building. Wake up and stop this foolishness!
The GWOT acronym was misnamed. It is the "Global War OF Terror", not "...ON Terror".
The CIA / NSA have been, off and on, waging a campaign of targeted assassinations in the name of "National Security prerogatives", since these agencies inceptions. The Predator drone and other armed UAVs of their ilk represent the culmination of decades of their wet-dream "what -if" scenarios.
These stealthy instruments of death from above have become thoroughly enmeshed in the M.I.C. war machine, and can ostensibly used as a global threat to both foe and friend alike - perfect for the projection of the USA's imperialist machinations abroad.
Killing by an unmanned aircraft controlled halfway across the globe is still killing. A single bullet to the heart or brain of a solitary foe has been replaced with a much less discriminating explosive warhead, with repercussions from "collateral damage". The USA should be prepared to expect further serious blowback to such a campaign of terror - the proverbial "chickens coming home to roost".
This is a great comic about these 'robot assassins'.
