Sen. Arlen Specter told Fox News' Chris Wallace that the Republican Party was the party of "no, no, no" when it comes to passing meaningful health care reform. While Specter believes the public option is "gaining momentum" within the Democratic Party, the GOP is the "party of obstructionism," said Specter.

UPDATE: Joe Sestak and Ned Lamont will be on C&L live chatting with us tomorrow, Monday Oct. 19th at 3pm PST/6pm EST so don't miss it.

He should know.

his renomination as US Senator representing the party which first elected him.

he didn't hurt himself.

Specter says whatever serves Specter's interests at any given moment. He's not worth listening to.

The fact that Specter stated the obvious to the Kool-Aid drinking Fixed News viewers is worth noting. They very seldom hear any dose of reality, and this happens to be one of those few times.

He's only said it as a Dem, so he'll be ignored by the people that voted him in as a Republican.

starts out with, "government run" I lose interest in anything else he has to say.

Republicans wouldn't even vote for an amendment to try rape cases in court.

He's such a jack*ff.

All he cares about is keeping wages up in his district for his rich doners.

Once again we have a peep squeak from a tiny little sh*t *ss state RUINING everything for the nation. When oh when will we tie the number of Senators to the population in a state. At least if they come from a tiny state, give their senators a 1/20th vote instead of a full vote. Seems more fair to me.

Meanwhile, let's get someone to replace Conrad.

The real question is, how are we going to pay for this... says the faux reporter.

I answer this: The real question is this: Why didn't you care what your many WARS cost? How much have we paid for that? Who benefits from that cost? And who benefited from your deregulation and TARP funds? Why didn't you care what THAT cost us? Who benefitted from that?

Why is it when EVER it's money for the corporatists there is no bottom line. But if it's for the PEOPLE, we can't afford it.

You would know all about the obstructionism of the GOP, it's your party. I hope the dems in PA vote him out

Get Arlen Useless Specter to defend the public option. All of those douchebags would be in the Front National in France.

How are we going to pay for this? Hey, Chris, as a percent of GDP the US pays more for healthcare than any other nation. We already are paying for it. The question is, "Will this proposal work?"

Oh Arlen, of course Chris isn't going to let you finish. You're a Dem now.
