Republican candidate for Senator from Kentucky Rand Paul said Sunday that he would support raising the age of Social Security eligibility if he is elected.

"We do have to admit that we have a baby boom generation getting ready to retire and we will double the amount of retirees," Paul told Fox News Chris Wallace. "To put our head in the sand and say we're going to keep borrowing more money is not going to work. There will have to be changes for the younger generation."

"For the younger generation, there will have to be changes in eligibility."

"So, you would raise the retirement age?" asked Wallace.

"There may have to be for younger people. Yes," said Paul.
