Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Tuesday promised that "this is just the beginning" of Republicans in Congress investigating President Barack Obama.

Priebus explained to Fox News host Gretchen Carlson that Republicans like Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) would continue their probes into scandals involving Benghazi, the IRS and the Department of Justice's targeting of reporters until witness came clean about how the president was involved.

"We've got at least eight people around the president that knew something... you start questioning those people," the RNC chairman explained. "And then those people will start talking about what they knew, and then more will come out."

"If the president actually knew something then he's not being truthful and no one around him is," he continued. "If he didn't know anything, I think it suggests a level of aloofness or perhaps even incompetence that I think is pretty disturbing in its own right."

Priebus added: "So this isn't the end of the line, this is just the beginning. And I've got a good feeling that Darrell Issa is going to be having quite a summer in reviewing what's been going on here in the White House as far as this scandal is concerned."
