Pelosi wants investigation of Bush officials
By David Sunday Jan 18, 2009 4:00pm
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told Fox's Chris Wallace that there should be an investigation into whether the Bush Administration broke the law when firing Justice Department officials. "I think we have to learn from the past and we cannot let the politicizing of the Justice Department to go unreviewed," said Pelosi

start with nine 11 for a real investigation.
the process of discovery and honest questioning under oath will do the rest.
The satisfying sound of a truther meeting my (C&L equivalent of a ) Usenet killfile.
Mmmm... netlicious!
911 is definitely a link pin of the many crimes committed by this illegitimate regime ... that's why they don't want an independent investigation ... non partisan preferred ... where they have to testify under OATH and not while holding each others hand ... it would be all she wrote and Americans would know what most of the world already knows ... that's why they will go out of their way to see that it doesn't happen ...
Shouldn't Pelosi be canned? She's been a terrible Leader. I just can't imagine her calling for "Torture" investigations since, clearly, she herself is implicated.
She doesn't appear to be calling for torture investigations. She only mentioned the mess at the Justice Department. Democrats are way too complicit in the other illegal actions of Bush for her to support investigations into those matters, I believe.
first, when dems go on flaux news? they are not dems. mike wallace is a dick. I wonder just how many dixicrats there are. pelosi had her chance in 2006 to stop bush, what did she do, just let him dowhat ever he wanted to do. she is a 2 faced asshole.
Yeah, she'll hold the Bush administration accountible for anything...I'll believe that when I see it!
Could Pelosi have been lying about impeachment to throw Bush off from pulling anything sneaky?
I've been scoffed at for raising this in the past, but this was the plan all along.
Impeachment was off the table because it would have been a waste of time and money. Yes, the House could have voted to impeach on a simple majority vote, along party lines. But to convict in the Senate (and remember, this isn't a criminal trial, only a civil trial to remove the impeached) requires 67 votes, and the Dems only had 50- if you don't count Lieberman- plus whatever they could pick up from GOP senators. But there was no way in hell that 17 GOP senators would vote to convict Bush or Cheney, even if Bush and Cheney were caught red-handed.
What we're talking about now is NOT impeachment. It's an investigation for crimes, felonies, that can send these bastards to jail. And when the trial is heard, it will be heard by a jury much more impartial than the body of the Senate.
You never know. There could be a lot of Republicans with an axe to grind against George for ruining their election prospects for at least two more years.
The likely 17.
Jesus, you couldn't get enough of them- 10- to end the filibusterin' cloture votes on such things as timelines. 17 to convict one of their own, their President? The guy they appointed in the first place?
The watergate hearings were going well for Nixon until the testimony came out about the TAPES.
this is the benefit of hearings. testimony.
No impeachment inquiry, no testimony, no case.
You want to put the cart before the horse.
There is nothing resembling bi- or non- partisanship in the GOP. There hasn't been since prior to 1994. They march in a pretty tight lockstep.
Why would you give them credit for being able to vote correctly in this instance when you wouldn't for any other?
What does 1974 have to do with anything? 1973 is the year Nixon stepped down. But this is where TruthBTold is right and your defense of Pelosi is absolutely wrong because you're missing TBT's much larger point.
You seem to think that GOP senators are re-elected based on their loyalty to a GOP president. The constitution hasn't changed that radically since 1974. Senators are still elected and held accountable by their constituents. The democrats were given the majority of both House and Senate in '06 in part to end war funding. They were also given the majority so they would be able to investigate high crimes and misdemeanors by executive branch officials. This is where Pelosi completely betrayed the public trust and is most responsible for turning congress into the emasculated entity it's become. There were more than enough clues in the public record that insinuated criminal negligence, obstruction of justice, intent to subvert the constitution, etc by officials at the highest level of the executive branch. The role of congress is to provide oversight of possible misdeeds in the executive; checks and balances. In response to subpoenas by Conyers to investigate, congress was treated with as much contempt as Nixon treated his inquisitors, and Bush officials blatantly ignored all subpoenas issued, and were in other words in contempt of congress. By choosing not to wield the two powers granted to her to force compliance; inherent contempt and impeachment, she turned congress into a farce, nothing more than a dog and pony show.
The lesson of Watergate is that as congress continued to investigate Nixon's crimes, he committed even more crimes in the cover-up. And as each revelation became more egregious, the more difficult it became for anyone in the GOP to defend Nixon, since his actions in destroying evidence in the tapes and the transcripts he released that clearly implicated him in arranging payoffs to the 'plumbers' were far too incriminating and simply indefensible.
You cannot claim to know what would have been uncovered had Pelosi used impeachment to obtain the missing emails that were later destroyed. Those emails likely revealed why the US attorneys were fired (for not playing ball and intimidating the public to favor republicans winning elections) but also could have contained info regarding the outright theft of the 2004 election. Had something so fundamentally wrong like that been revealed, along with a concerted attempt to obstruct justice by destroying those emails ... who are you to say that the public outcry and pressure on GOP senators to do the right thing would not have forced their vote?
..impeachment still should've been left on the table and initiated if even one senator thought there was Malfeasance (def: Malfeasance in office, or official misconduct, is the commission of an unlawful act, done in an official capacity, which affects the performance of official duties. Malfeasance in office is often grounds for a for cause removal of an elected official by statute or recall election. Innocent until PROVEN Guilty!
While the investigations get rolling, include your own name on the list, as well as any other Dems that supported Bushie through thick and thin with every excuse you could think of. Oh and call your plastic surgeon. Your chin is getting hairy.
She'll get right on it after tracking down every last cent of the TARP funds and helps to throw the perps in jail [snark].
Glenn Greenwald: Binding US Law Requires Prosecutions for Those Who Authorize Torture
Details the case.
Of course, it's easy once the players are out of office.
Look what happened when the Dems tried to nail Reagan. The Repugs might not be as likely to shred evidence if they don't feel threatened.
Name 17 Republican US Senators in the last Congress who would have voted to convict Bush of eating a roasted baby, even if they watched him prepare it(probably because they helped in the roasting). If the point was to go through procedure after procedure to yank evidence out of the clutches of the White House only to see your case lost to partisanship, to waste time and money to prove what most of us accept to be true anyway....Sorry, but impeachment, in this case, was bound to fail.
What a cop out. A complicitous copout, at that. Name the Republicans who went along with the early Nixon investigations.
If the Dems allow this to go without investigation, they OWN the kidnapping and torture of children, they OWN aggressive warfare and collective punishment, they OWN mass murder. And so will you.
..its a constitutional thing!
No doubt, there were lessons learned after Clenis-gate and the whitewashes of Bush era crimes. Using subpoena power can mean opening the door to many other crimes and associations. Ufortunately for supporters of the rule of law, this means the complicity of scumbags like Pelosi and her ilk would be exposed as well. Case closed.
This is America. Justice has always been off the table where the rich and powerful are involved. Here, hope is for suckers.
Look at Little Miss Oversight now! What prompted her to wake up and do her job this morning?
Well, that's real leadership
Waiting until the top leadership changes.
Sounds more like cover than being a vanguard.
a new face to show off. Nice goatie. And, she gets excited when she rubs her shoulders. Her plastic surgeon also included a spine at 50% off.
You sound pissed off. Maybe somebody you don't like (not Pelosi) is going to get away with something. Same for you ysbadaddan.
Maybe she wanted to play the opposite political game. By going after Bush when he left office, she can say she was simply reviewing his procedures for future Presidents, and thus skirt the "partisan" label the media was so eager to avoid attaching to Mewt and Ken Starr.
"I think we have to learn from the past and we cannot let the politicizing of the Justice Department to go unreviewed"
Uh Huh, But we can let the War Crimes go unreviewed especially since you approved them.
Ms. Pelosi, Can you say "I was complicit"? There, I knew you could.
....."I think we have to learn from the past and we cannot let the politicizing of the Justice Department to go unreviewed"......
You are quoting Pelosi but I can guarantee you she didn't say it like that. She said it like this:
"I think we have to learn from the past and we cannot let the politicizing of the JusticeDepartment GO unreviewed". You must be from Texas.
My God help us all.
Who and what does Nazi Pelosi support and defend when she arbitrarily cherry picks which part of the Constitution to support and defend because of conveniences? When Nazi Pelosi excuses her inability to support and defend the entire Constitution because (insert excuse here), THAT'S a mental reservation. When she has prior knowledge of obvious crimes against The People, The Republic, or Their Laws of the Land, and refuses to take action for political folly, THAT'S a purpose of evasion!
I M P E A C H
P E L O S I!!
So, is she saying that under Bush, ON HER WATCH, they weren't crimes but under Obama, they are? Then does she take that double standard to her Oath of Office because we are a Nation of Laws, or because she's following the whims of men?
Look, if it is good enough to investigate under Obama, it was good enough to investigate under Bush, too! Except she chose otherwise and in contrary to her own Oath.
Thanks San Fran. Way to keep electing losers!
... I like it ... mind if I use it too? ;) ... yeah I hear you about San Fran ... what the hell were they thinking? ... 72% of the vote ... so they can't blame it on election fraud ... as far as I am concerned they are just as complicit of war crimes as nazi pelosi ...they must have been quite please she took impeachment off the table ... yep San Fran ... thanks for nothing!
OJ got his eventually, so long as BushCo gets theirs I really don't care when. So long as it happens and if keeping impeachment off the table until these sleazebags get out and then go after them is the best way, so be it. Still, I'll believe it when I see it.
If the democratic party had tried to investigate in the prior congress, the rethuglicans had too much clout. To investigate after W leaves office takes away his pardon capability. All the pissing and moaning doesn't make the wheels of justice move any smoother or faster. We should all demand our representatives pursue this.
Very simply, I'm from Missouri on this.
Her and Conyers, all they do is yap, yap yap and then do nothing.
good speeches! Reminds me of someone else.
.
The part I don't get is how Nazi Pelosi, for all this time(at least since 2006 elections) could imagine that the President was "PRESERVING" the Laws of the Land when he had his legal team draw up "OPINIONS" as to why undermining core principles and values contained in our Laws of the Land is a good thing. That's like believing Charles Manson that killing Sharon Tate and her unborn child is a good thing. And we know how that story ends...
... http://www.prosecutegeorgebush.com/index.htm
What's more, just what did Nazi Pelosi know, and when did she know it?
.
as people are denying it, the reality is, a great many Dems supported everything Bush did. You can't sugercoat it, because it still doesn't change reality. They supported him. They waved the flag. Hillary supported him blindly, then said, "oh, I was mistaken and didn't read the report that was in front of me". They could all hear their constituents roaring. They couldn't miss it. NO, there will be no criminals brought to justice. The most you could possibly get is another scapegoat Scooter Libby. How much time did Ollie North get?
Bush et al could do prison time, not just lose their offices.
but she is also the same person who pulled impeachment from the table.
Pelosi, is making the next rational political step, to start putting criminal investigations on the table, at this time, it would be the best, "political" move to save "face". Hopefully win another 4 years for Obama.
I think they better stop playing politics and start following the law. I also think they should figure out how to call Alito and "dumb face" illegal appointments.
Lady's and gentlemen sTart your engines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(spell check off :( ) )
She should really keep her mouth shut until Tuesday afternoon. It'd be just like Bush to pardon everybody on the way out the door.
Bush Cheney 09
Impeach Indict Incarcerate.
But necessarily in that order.
i want an investigation of pelossi
and i want her kicked out of the speaker's position
Oooohhhhhh, she must have done something bad. I wonder what it could be?

Will Obama Prosecute Bush War Crimes? - Jonathan Turley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuNTURKj6BI
That is interesting.....Equating Clinton's sexual escapades and sham impeachment with undermining the constitution, domestic spying, torture, rendition, etc is a perversion and I will be looking for more on this Cass Sunstein.
................ investigation of Bush Junta's crimes by Obama's administration.
Let's hope they are not disappointed (ha, ha).
they are ineffective, weak leaders.
Feingold and __________ (fill in the blank: I'm not sure)
Senator Whitehouse
If I were Obama, I would pardon W and Cheney for war crimes. Nothing would come out of any investigation anyway and it would serve two purposes. He would appear magnanimous and it would taint Bush and Cheney.
did you?
?
Yes!!!
...indicates you're not from around here ...you need to watch that youtube link ...
I think, in light of the magnitude of the economic meltdown, that an investigation into whether the rating agencies and the investment banks conspired to defraud investors should be undertaken. Specifically, did they conspire to have mortgage backed securities graded as "AAA", the highest investment grade, so that these securities could be sold for more than they were worth. Had these securities been graded as "junk", the profitability wouldn't have been present, and the sub-prime fiasco never would have scaled to the point that it did.
As far as the U.S. attorneys are concerned, hopefully Obama will do a little housecleaning.
where there was possibly fraud and maybe loads of it.
Liar loans, mortgage forms filled out with phony info (by brokers), appraisers who over appraised.
Other points I can imagine.
Ratings up and down the line.
And as you say the rating of synthetic CDOs was a big one.
But the Bush Obama McCain Bailout is in full swing.
Obama just promised his first veto if he didn't get the rest of the $700 billion.
David Sirota calls his piece 'Obama sells out to Wall Street' here.
Giving the Fat Cat Crooks Trillions of dollars is not a thoughtful precursor to criminal investigation.
The Fed is buying that junk and using the same rating agencies that screwed up in the first place. Also not very thoughtful.
I would have skipped the trillions and gone straight to the investigations.
All you have to do is look at the biggest Campaign donors to Obama, and you will see who is behind this. It's the same people that have been behind this Country's actions for a LONG time. Change, hope...NOPE.
These war crimes can not go unpunished ... it's going to happen again ... it happen during WW2 and they were held accountable ... the illegitimate bush regime must be held accountable as well ... like the professor said in the video ... it won't be on the illegitimate bush anymore it will be on we the people ... if we don't bring these admitted war criminals before a court of law ... or are they above the law?
You people are insane. You are just going to let them get off? You think this Country will be better off if you don't press charges. ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE. Well, I think I already know the answer to that, CAUSE YOU ARE. When was the last time a judge, cop, or prosecutor just said, meh...we will just let this guy go because we need to look forward and stop playing politics.
This Country is in shambles because of idiot Amerikans like your filth. The cops are out of control, the bankers are raping us blind, we are bailing out failures, we are torturing and imprisoning innocent people, we are going to war over lies, we are KILLING PEOPLE AND ENSLAVING THEM. WHAT THE MOFOIN EFF. You guys are insane. Get off the damn medication or whatever you cowards are on and start standing up for THE CONSTITUTION, LAW, and JUSTICE.
Holding no one accountable will only prolong this mess. Seriously, you people are clearly insane....GO WATCH YOUR DAMN AMERIKAN IDOL and DROOL LIKE THE COWARDS YOU ARE. AMERICA IS DEAD BECAUSE OF FILTH LIKE YOU.
{ Normally I would call this flamebaiting. But you do raise an important point. Tell me? What have you done to rectify the problems facing the country? SiteMonitor}
flattery will get you no where here niether will wanting justice for america!
{ Deleted, Off Topic. SiteMonitor}
We can't let these people get away with what has happen ... are they above the law or aren't they? ... and what I will do to help rectify the problem is the raise the consciousness of the people by reporting the war crimes that have been committed ... and apply pressure ... if that's possible to Washington with letters and emails ... what ever I can do ... I will do ... what I can't do ... I won't ...
PS ... I have never seen American Idol ... Survivor ... I wouldn't use it for a night light ... LOL
Y'll ever get the impression that certain out-o'-towners have a hobby of getting on their city buses and inserting themselves into the argument of strange bickering couples and even takes sides?
That's a chilling thought, I think? :-P
{ Deleted, Off Topic. SiteMonitor}
Metaphorically speaking, anythings possible.
Why don't I believe her?
Pelosi or the female in the argument?
The apologists, trolls, and defenders of the Bush Crime Company will say this is about "political revenge", "right vs. left", let's play nice, etc.
They will be wrong. Prosecutions for war crimes and violating the constitution are about bringing thugs to justice and the rule of law, this is beyond right vs. left. Obama gave us a clue when he said no one is above the law. Lets' hope he follows through on that pledge if not in the first 100 days, in the first year.
Switzerland is offering political asylum to the Iraqi shoe throwing journalist saying he won't be safe in Iraq. Interesting also is that Swiss citizen and former Chief Hague Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, is currently working at the Swiss Embassy in Argentina, which is right next door to Paraguay.
... last I heard he was being held and tortured ... haven't seen any news on him since ...
This freakin Congress allowed Bush and Cheney to declare war on Iraq, to torture prisoners, to spy on Americans without just cause, and she wants a freakin hearing? Bush and Cheney walk away with money in their pockets, leaving the United States on the verge of ruins, Iraq's country is almost destroyed, children and innocent people dead and 3 million people fled its country. What happened to the the billions of dollars unaccounted for during Katrina? What happened to the 15 billion dollars of American money disappeared in Iraq?? Congress, why not investigat these issues? What about Bush and Cheney making up a story that Saddam had a plot to destroy the US. Now they say CIA information was not accurate, why not have a investigation into the CIA, or Bush/Cheny believing the information and then our stupid Congress falling for the lies?? I want Bush/Cheney to be prisoners in their own prison they created and let the water boarding begin.
How dare Nance Pelosi want anything, a few years behind if you ask me. The Congress failed the American people, step down Nancy, you disgust me. I want BUSH/CHENEY on the rolling block!!! Each and everyone of us are paying or will pay for Bush/Cheney's lies. Then after they are placed in prison, I want all of the Congress and Senate who supported the lies of Bush/Cheney to go to war in Iraq, they be fired without any benefits.
I AM MAD!!!!
Nancy picked the worst possible time to talk tough. She's obviously signaling to Bush that he should grant a lot of pardons.
Nancy should be removed as Speaker, or better yet IMPEACH PELOSI!!
"Nancy picked the worst possible time to talk tough. She's obviously signaling to Bush that he should grant a lot of pardons."
...what a coincidence, eh?
Most of Congress didn't/wouldn't consider impeaching Bush, or even criticize most of the executive branch signing statements, propaganda, or scandal. Pelosi would do what all groupie politicos do, send it to committee, have an investigation, bury the subject in bull, and classify the facts/results secret for 100 years unless maybe she was being waterboarded. Selective enforcement of applicable laws leave Congressmen/women comfortable with probable leniency, even immunity as long as they "play the game". Keep Gitmo open for Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, Tenant, and maybe even Greenspan to receive some 'retraining' for what they have dished out. Pelosi....well, she can take her children, grand children, and relatives to Afganistan for a couple of years to attone for all the death and destruction she has witnessed, conveniently forgot, or approved.
She was in the crowd of supporters at the Baltimore train stop and barely mentioned let alone being given an opportunity to speak. Heck at the Wilmington train stop, the AMTRAK CONDUCTOR, who's never even held an elected office, got to introduce Joe Biden. What does this say about Pelosi?
Couldn't figure out who Nancy Pelosi reminded me of. Joan Rivers!! Right down to the "forehead being stapled to the back of her head" stretched eyes
Wallace:(accusingly)"but you wanna see investigations"
Pelosi: (apologetic) "I..uh..er..hama na hama na..."
Pinkobait:(apoplectic) "God damn it Pelosi answer the fucking question!!"
Say it!! "Yes Chris you horse's ass, you're god damned right I want an investigation..yesterday!!"
I don't care who got fired. Illegal firings go on all the time in the USA. But, I do care about torture, rendition, wiretaps w/o benefit of court supervision, stealing, corruption, lies, etc. Firings are a low priority. What about torture? Lies to Congress? Lies to the public? Spying on Americans?
because if you read between the lines and look at the BIG picture, like every lawyer and/or politician worth his/her salt has, you would know that the illegal firings themselves might seem inconsequential, but they were part of a much larger concerted effort by nefarious forces in the upper reaches of the republican run executive branch to punish attorneys that did not obey them by bringing bogus prosecutions against ACORN workers days before the '04 election in attempt to influence the outcome. The subversion of our democracy and fundamental right to vote, not to mention politicizing the department of justice, turning it into an extension of the executive branch and violating the intent that US attorneys are to remain neutral arbiters of justice un-beholden to a political party ... now THAT is a MUCH bigger deal and the big picture reeks of suspects obstructing justice and destroying evidence that incriminates them in the crime. You sure as hell should be concerned about it.
There's a saying amongst prosecutors, that if you can't get a conviction and are convinced that the accused is guilty, to at least ruin the life of the target of your prosecution by destroying their professional reputations and ensuring their financial ruin by making the trial as expensive as humanly possible.
Prosecuting the Bush/Cheney criminal elements must be approached similarly. Going straight for the throat in prosecuting war crimes and torture would smack of hypocrisy coming from Obama who has pledged to move forward, and lower his political capital amongst groups he has stridently tried to win over. It would certainly turn into partisan warfare and would turn a lot of the public against him, as they would accuse him of being more interested in settling old scores than helping the American people by using his political capital to push through legislation to mitigate the economic crises we're in. This is why Obama can have nothing to do with any 'oversight' that the House or Senate conduct. They must make their move independently. They need to also focus on violations of law that both parties would agree upon like contempt of congress in hopes of unraveling the numerous crimes committed and covered up which has a much better chance of putting away the war criminals. They might not be prosecuted as 'war criminals', but certainly such war crimes, cronyism, and profiteering would be revealed from uncovered in the process. But it's just smart politics to focus investigations on the smaller shenanigans and work your way up.
FUCK Nancy Pelosi. She has been complicit with any and everything done.
/off the table
no wonder she's on fux!
She's just going through the motions, saying how bad and evil Bush is, but in reality won't do squat to bring the Republican criminals to justice.
Obama is sounding more and more like Pelosi, in showing all indications of being yet another willing puppet of the right wing..
Justice for the Bush junta should be a foregone conclusion. They have raped, pillaged and murdered for 8 years. Clintons blow job is small potatoes by comparison. Sometimes i fear the spineless Dems must have been actually afraid of the Bushies. I can see Cheney barking around the Capital " who needs anthrax? ..get yours next". I remember the video of Ralph Nader saying the perceived threat around the Capital was for Dems to back off or face another 911 false flag attack and martial law. Ralph claims to have heard this from a Congressman directly. It seems to have been a lot of intimidation going around.
Bush was tapping phones half a year prior to his 911. Perhaps he was collecting political leverage info during that time period to use at a later date. It is sad but i seriously doubt anyone will be held accountable. I think the real truth would rip the country apart. Id like to see Obama take the gags off the NYPD,NYFD and Port Authority cops first off. Then re open the Able Danger hearings without Pentagon or Bushie influence and stonewalling. Then let folks like Sibel Edmounds tell all she knows. Anyone care to bet Jack Abramoffs name will be on Bushie pardon list ? Same Abramoff who owned the Casino boat Mohammed Atta and pals were on the week before 911. I think its obvious what i think really needs looking at .The truth would finish off the USA. True democracy and justice for all is a myth anymore. Anyone that believes anything the Bushies done was anything but a big FUCK YOU to the middle class is dreaming. I cant wait to see Chimps pardon list. My thought was always that they should lay low until Bush couldn't pardon anyone anyways as impeachment was partisan and futile. Bush could have raped and murdered Mother Teresea on the South Lawn on primetime TV and the GOP would have ran cover for him. Cant wait to see Chimps list.
wait a few years...
I saw a clip the other day that pointed out the fact that any Joe or Jill citizen can take the Bush & Company to court. Line em up for a class action.
Oh, yeah: "Too much, too little, too late".
Hugh's List
Can the House do something like put Pelosi in a "Witness Protection Program"? If she got a deal for spilling her guts about being briefed about torture and sitting on her hands, maybe we can proceed in prosecuting everybody else in the executive branch.
what you want doesn't matter anymore. You did such a fine job telling W he didn't have to worry about being impeached, I can't believe that anybody really cares at this point what you want to do. You should be replaced as SOTH and in the final analysis, when the last eight years are scrutinized, you'll be the one with egg on her face because you didn't do your job - OVERSIGHT OF THE EXECUTIVE!
What the new President must do, besides performing miracles to get us out the mess the last eight years of W and all those years of GOP dominance in Congress got us into, IS APPOINT A SPECIAL COUNSEL! Hopefully, Mrs. Pelosi won't be implicated in any of their shenanigans.
The politicizing of the Justice Dept. is a red herring. The REAL nasty stuff is the war profiteering, the incredible obscene profits realized by people like Cheney and Rumsfeld's buddies, the Carlyle Group, the influence-peddling and no-bid contracts to Halliburton, KBR, and others. The Justice Dept thing is small potatoes by comparison. FOLLOW THE MONEY!
not to nitpick - but, I'm pretty sure it was August, 1974.
just saying.
Why would anyone believe a word that this woman says?????
... I certainly don't ... why would she implicate herself?
In a fair world, every time anyone mentioned Benidict Arnold, or George Bush, they would automaticly mention Nancy Pelosi. Her rejection of her sworn duty to the constitution lowers her to their level. However, she is not alone. We have not been a constitutional republic since December 12, 2000 when the court defeted the will of the voters and installed the looser G.W.Bush. We must all come to grips with the fact that the majority of our elected representatives no longer believe in the constitution. Nothing else explaigns why there has been no enforcement on the Bush crimes since 2006. Because no one ever relinquishes power willingly, our old system will not return easily, if ever. We were founded with violence and it may/will take violence to regain any government for the benifit of the people, to become citizens instead of subjects again.
is an empty woman with empty words. She did Nothing to stop Bush.
By "investigation" Pelosi means she wants to set up a "toothless" secial committee that will issue findings that no one will take action upon.
but:
CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA with your new president!!
yes you can (and yes we hope, in the rest of the world -Netherlands in my case-!!)
