President Barack Obama won't be re-elected in 2012 unless gets tougher on national security, according to Sarah Palin. The former Governor of Alaska believes that declaring war on Iran could help the president get re-elected.

"Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decided really to come out and do whatever he could to support Israel, which I would like him to do," Palin told Fox News' Chris Wallace Sunday. "That changes the dynamics in what we can assume is going to happen between now and three years."

Palin clarified that she doesn't think that Obama wouldn't cynically "play the war card" to help his 2012 bid. "I'm saying if he did, things would dramatically change if he decided to toughen up and do all that he can to secure our nation and our allies," she said.

Obama could find himself going up against the former governor when he runs for re-election. Palin told Chris Wallace that she wasn't ruling out the possibility of running for office. "I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future," she said.

Wallace awkwardly tries to defend his ‘hope’ that Palin will sit on his lap during their interview.

Yesterday during an interview with Don Imus on Fox Business, Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace was promoting his interview this week with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. When Imus randomly asked whether she will “be sitting on your lap” during the interview, Wallace replied, “One can only hope.” This morning, Fox and Friends host Steve Doocy asked Wallace about his comment. Co-host Gretchen Carlson was flabbergasted by the exchange between Wallace and Imus, and asked, “Would you ask that of a man?” Wallace was silent for a few seconds before stumbling over a response and changing the subject to whether she would sit on Brad Pitt’s lap during an interview:

I'd prefer Tina Fey...

Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words "Energy", "Tax" and "Lift American Spirits" are clearly visible.

I love the disconnect between wanting more war and less taxes - yet claiming to be fiscally responsible.

How do they plan on paying for these wars? Bake sales? Just privatize the whole process? War profiteers are paid with out tax dollars just as the military is - only the private contractors charge a lot more.

I swear, an infant could spot the flaw in this reasoning.

"Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decided really to come out and do whatever he could to support Israel, which I would like him to do," Palin told Fox News' Chris Wallace Sunday. "So as to make the Second Coming of Jesus Christ possible. And before the coming of Jesus, the Jews must convert to Christianity. Those who don't will perish in a gigantic holocaust in the battle of Armageddon."

Exactly what I thought she really meant.

Also, Wallace didn't scoff at the preposterousness of going to war with Iran, he just questioned the "wag the dog" aspect.

This alone should automatically disqualify Palin from ANY elected position.

War is not a "card" that is played.

When Palin's son is bullet ridden or blown to pieces or torn to shreds from "friendly fire" or enemy combat, then she might have a better perspective on what war brings.

I did not! Why would I want to watch one idiot ask another idiot a question that they both already know what the question and the answer will be? I have not watched one of these socalled news shows since 2003. I truely hope that something happens and fox goes out of business. I don't care what it is, if they lose viewers, or maybe a earth quake or flood or some other natural disaster wipes them out. I only hope I am still around to see their total destruction! That will be a glorious day indeed!
republicanism/conservatism is a mental illness!

Who will vote for Obama in 2012 if he gets us into a third simultaneous unwinnable war?
