Vice President Joe Biden told NBC's David Gregory that he questioned former Vice President Dick Cheney's judgement for criticizing President Barack Obama policies on national security. Biden seemed to pull his punches when asked about Cheney's motives. "Never question another man's motive," warned Biden.

Thems is fightin words mister

I like Biden. Personally, I am really happy with what he said....he could have gone off on a tangent like he sometimes does, and then he would have had to 'retract' what he said....
.....speaking of 'retract'...I have a feeling we will be seeing that from Panetta before tomorrow evening. I mean, we simply can't have anyone saying stuff about the former VP like THAT, can we? !!!!!
I can just hear the crew on MJ tomorrow...talk about a collective pantie-wad-fest!..

Biden is in elected office, holding the office that Cheney just held, so he may have to hold his comments. but none of us out here do. Cheney DOES WANT this country to be attacked again by Islamic terrorists, so he can then gloat and say he was right. he only cares about vindicating his alleged remaining reputation. he and that mini-me of his, Liz.

He will claim he cannot get a fair trial in this country, and if he leaves the country for trial elsewhere, he'll be arrested again. I feel a "Leave Britney alone!" coming on. Plus, if he is arrested and all his thievery with respect to Halliburton and the oil companies comes out, he'll have to give back the money. His real legacy consists of the billions he will leave his spawn. Obviously, unlike VP Biden, I have no need to hold back.

Somebody tell the Dick that Spain is a nice place to go to and the food there is great...

republicanism is a mental illness.

And completely pissed at that black boy President who doesn't seem to know his place. Biden, like any progressive, laughs his ass off at this Conservative dog show of 2012 "candidates" currently on display.

.

Democrats are terrible at framing issues...

The GREATEST ATTACK ON AMERICAN SOIL HAPPENED ON CHENEY/BUSH CO.'S WATCH. Not only that they failed pathetically to apprehend the principal architects... this should prevent anyone listening to them on national security....

But democrats buy the fiction that someone Bush is not responsible for sleeping at the wheel

Also the Democrats have to start explaining to the public at large that there will probably be another attack of some kind and that they are doing everything they can to keep us safe. A couple of the genius White House crowd should be able to come up with something that won't scare Joe Sixpack and Betty Winebox yet let them know there is no way to guard against everything without making us a police state.

are happening NOW, and being done by Americans against Americans.

Biden played it very smart today. 10 points on the undefined Kangaroo scale.

That sorta flushes the entire legal process down the toilet, doesn't it?

Isn't motive rather important when someone is on trial?

who would trust Cheney on ANY subject. The man is a rabid rat.

Biden did a nice job here, but I want ALL politicians - Biden & Obama in particular - to eliminate the word "Look" from their vocabularies. It has become the new prelude to the comment. And it's a wee bit condescending. So if anyone from the Obama administration is reading C&L (and they should be!), please, please get them to stop using the word "Look" at the beginning of comments!!!!!

Everybody knows that their motives can be represented by this handy dandy symbol: $$$$$$

Big Eddy speaks for me on Evil Dick's motives. Watch highly informative Video at link below.

"Ed Schultz: "Cheney Wants This Country To Get Hit Again For Political Gain" (VIDEO)

"I think that Dick Cheney wants this country to get hit again for political gain. I believe that he thinks, in his mind, that if we can think, make them think - the enemy - that if we're weak, because Obama can't stand up for us, we're gonna get hit. And then of course we can paint the picture that the Democrats just can't get the job done on national security. I think Cheney is that mean."

I believe that BOTH Motive and Judgment are to be questioned in all public servants. "The system" that Mr. Biden espouses as the "best thing about America" is a failure from the point of view of the people at large.

It keeps the rich in power and it sucks up all the wealth and power and moves it to the top and keeps it there.

The people are therefore left with very few choices.

I, too, like Mr. Biden. But I question this "system".

I must ask, "for whom?" We're screwed.

Biden has stated before that he doesn't question peoples motives. When you start talking about a person's motives you have lost the handle on the debate, and it is almost certain that it will devolve into ad hominems (personal attacks) and the substantive parts of the issue will be left behind.

Cheney's motives may well be evil, but you'll never be able to prove it.

Stick to the substance: What's the best way to protect America's security.

However, I appreciate the judgement approach. Biden could have slaughtered Cheney with 1/2 a dozen examples of crap judgement. (WMDs,Greeted as liberators, Dead-enders etc etc) but chose not to.

"you've got sarah palin saying - lots of things"

thanks for appreciating the relevance of sarah palins comments :D

He doesn't even bother dignifying her by giving an actual quote.

you've got sarah palin saying - lots of things =translation= you've got Sarah Palin, talking a lot of shit...

I wouldn't say he's pulling his punches. It would be irresponsible for the VP to question why Cheney is shooting his mouth off. But we can do that. It's obvious he's trying to save his own ass.
