In an interview with GBTV head correspondent Raj Nair on the streets of New York Friday, Glenn Beck explained that he despises Republicans as much as Democrats.

"Ask the average person, am I Republican?" asked Beck. "I hate them... I don't know how to say -- I hate them."

Beck may have also surprised conservatives by railing against the practice known as extraordinary rendition.

"Ghost planes -- we're picking people up in the middle of the night. We're saying talk to us or we're going to drop you off over in Egypt. That's insane. That's what causing all of these problems is we are sitting here looking at -- picking people up and expecting them, when we march in, to say 'oh, the Americans are here. The Americans just put him on a ghost plane and now he's in the prison with Mubarak's people torturing him.' They don't understand that. We don't stand for anything."

...Beck's hatred for Republicans was very evident on his TV show (his TV show underwritten by the Republican political operation he worked for) by his constant attacks on Republican corruption, lies & hypocrisy.

Glenn Beck saying he hates Republicans is like Boss Limbaugh saying he hates OxyContin.

When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in excess body fat & carrying a misspelled sign.

LeftandLeft's picture

Come on you psychopath, tell the world your dirty sick Republican/Fox secrets...they pissed on you Glenn and now your former friends are laughing at you.

This unstable, unpredictable, bipolar fucker will get rich when he rats out the GOP.

He'll probably kill himself first :(

RoccoRyg's picture

The broken clock is finally right. Rendition is an extra-governmental, unconstitutional procedure. I don't care if Batman uses it with Chinese criminals, it's still against what America is supposed to be about.

Sure, Beck's a fullblown, bipolar, clinically insane, paranoid wackaloon, but he's right on this one.

and well said. Only you're more polite than I am, as I think Beck is simply a crazy asshole.

I don't even know what I posted. I'm in a good mood and don't think it was bad. ????

Maybe I posted in the wrong thread.

that is largely an act. Beck is right on occasion. I've given him credit for that. He's also a hate-monger, fear-monger, liar, hypocrite, fraud, race-baiter, reactionary propagandist and a cult of personality. Millions of people are at his beck and call (pun intended).

This is in large part due to the extent to which Beck manipulates his audience.

Beck hates "moderate" Republicans. Of which there are fewer and fewer still inside the tent. Becky love him some Tea Party Republicans though.

Hate is a common theme among Repugs.
I don't hate Glenn Beck...........loath and despise, yes of course, but I would never give a Repug apologist the satisfaction of knowing that I could hate him.

I'm not saying that one has to be part of the two party system or that if he hates liberals, he MUST love Republicans, but he went on every show to represent the conservative point of view, and everyone knows it.

What, it's a huge coincidence that he rarely, if ever, showed this raw "hatred" of Republicans? He was outraged by secret prisons and lawlessness before, but opted to focus on George Soros, Van Jones, and ACORN instead?

I think it's either:
A) This is his attempt to look "indie" or "non-conformist."
B) Like Ayn Rand, he hates Republicans because they're not right wing ENOUGH, and the fact that they haven't immediately dismantled the government fast enough means they are too soft to be supported.

thebewilderness's picture

Of course he hates Republicans. They are not up to his minimum standards of wing nuttery. Besides, they fired him.

Now that he's free from Fake Noise, he's pissing on everybody.

the fun begins when his money runs out and he can't afford to keep himself on the air.

I think that is going to be the problem. Grifters don't willingly spend their own money. Without his teevee audience the pool of marks shrinks considerably.

Beck is just pathetic.

When you hate people in general it is ez to lash out.

Does he think it will help him in a radio market saturated with fellow wingnuts? This guy is so pathetic, his listeners pitiful human beings. Like everything this loon says you can bet it is calculated.l

I guess Beck is a little bit on point. Republicans these days are odious creatures. Not more than Beck but right up there on the odious scale.

Oh yawn. More pseudo indie claptrap from Beck. Funny how Mr. I-Hate-the-Republicans always seemed to have them on his show to pimp them as "the real deal." His fulminating against extraordinary rendition is a day late and a dollar short, since he was a big supporter of it and torture during the Bush years.

PopeRatzo's picture

Why are you giving Glenn Beck more attention? Hasn't he done enough harm? Were you worried that there might be a day without a Glenn Beck story so you felt you had to not only put a story with his name in the headline, but actually post a video of him?

Did it ever occur to you editors that when you post another Glenn Beck story you're just playing into his strategy of moving his presence from Fox to online?

Alerta_Alerta's picture

Oh, just shut up. Concern person. Go concern somewhere else.

We've hear it all before. If we just stop objecting to the abusive behavior it will stop. Except it never does. Does it? Just ignore it and it will go away. Except it doesn't. In fact, in the case of Beck, it was paying attention and objecting to the behavior that got him canned, wasn't it?
So, you are mistaken, once again.

mudshark's picture

It took you this long to say that? After all the shite you spewed for ...what...5 years? You didn't call out the bush gang when you had the chance. So, now you splurt this crap out?

"The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all."

oh really's picture

...and Beck's actions don't support a contention that he hates Republicans as much as Democrats.

He wasn't calling Republicans fascists while he was railing at Democrats for being socialists and communists and everything else evil.

as we think. But, for the kind of money he was making, anyone of us would have also put out the same tv madness he was able to put out. Remember, FOX cancelled him not because his tv program riched at some points ridiculous levels. He was cancelled because FOX was no making money with him. Is all about the money, money, money. It's all about the money.

The Glenn Beck Review's picture

Ailes claims that wasn't the case. Murdoch is known to support money losing efforts if he thinks that they served a purpose, and Beck certainly served a purpose.

What's interesting about this and worth covering on The Glenn Beck Review is that people on his side don't see him as a hate-monger. It's astonishing. He is the most hateful "Christian" that I've ever seen.

I've covered his many hypocrisies over the last year. 24 of them over the course of a year add up to his being a fraud rather than the "principles and values guy" that he claims to be.

In the same manner, Beck's hate-mongering adds up to something less than a sterling example of what Jesus wanted based on what we "know" of his teachings. He proves over and over that he is a charlatan; it's bizarre that people, his followers, don't see that. They see what they want to see because, in part, they are reactionaries and because Glenn Beck is a cult of personality. He has people ready to take up arms and start shooting liberals and progressives.

pack you fucking millions of dollars and get the fuck out our lives. Beck...Than for nothing.

bigironal's picture

Instead of shit-canning Beck's 5:00 PM show I wish Roger Ailes would of moved Beck's train wreck to the 6:00-9:00 AM spot,Monday-Friday, to compete with "jumpin" Joe Scarborough and his fuck-head girly- friend Mika. Now, that would really be funny.I wonder who would be more humiliated "Blowborough" or "Glenda" ! Good luck Glenda ,hope to see you selling "HD Vision" sun glasses on a cable channel at 3:00 AM REAL SOON LMFAO! Glen you can now make book on the prospects that the missus will also be giving you your 'walking papers". TOO FUNNY!

It is mind-boggling how he got millions for his scare-tactics and his nonsense! His disturbed audience got him rich! I immediately sensed he was off the wall!

The Glenn Beck Review's picture

Beck his manipulated viewers sure as hell are. They have no idea that he's a liar, a hypocrite, a fake and a propagandist. They are caught up in it and do not realize that Glenn Beck is a cult of personality. They would do anything for him, those who haven't caught on to his act that is.

The Glenn Beck Review's picture

I just posted this video clip on The Glenn Beck Review. What we cannot yet discuss, but we know about, is an interview with Beck's director in The Christmas Sweater. He claimed that Beck was the best actor he had ever directed and that he could reach any emotion on demand.

Yes, Glenn Beck deserves the Emmy. The problem was, he was not on an entertainment channel. Beck was faking his tears (not so many lately) on a supposed "news" channel.

Beck's 30 months there and Ailes' claim that he didn't get fired for anything he said, is proof positive, if you ever needed it, that Fox is indifferent toward the facts and profoundly interested in changing minds using propaganda. After all, Glenn Beck is an ignorant genius of reactionary, yellow propaganda. He is also a great actor.
