Michael Reagan changes his tune on Obama: Now he's 'Reaganesque'

Fox's Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade talked with Michael Reagan and John Dukakis. Michael Reagan compared Obama's policies to socialism during the campaign but changed his tune this morning.
On Oct. 30, Reagan wrote for NewsMax.com, "To anyone familiar with socialism, Obama's programs fit comfortably within the pages of Karl Marx's playbook, the root of which is the redistribution of the wealth, the key to the entire Obamian vault."
This morning, Reagan said, "That's why maybe 30% of conservatives voted for barack obama or didn't vote at all because his message literally — at the end of the campaign — was a conservative campaign. It was Ronald Reaganesque."

Reagan almost tripled the federal debt. During his administration, we went from the world's biggest lender to the greatest debtor. Cheney invoked Reagan in defending deficits.
Reagan created the myth of the welfare queen and believed that the homeless were homeless by choice. Two of his children, Patty and Ron Jr., have said that it was impossible to talk about social issues with him because he was in his own world, and did not listen.
Reagan did not give press conferences for the last three years of his presidency. He stopped because his staff increasingly had to clarify his statements. I surmise that this was an early sign of Alzheimer's.
Reagan was an actor, and we've had another hollow shell for 8 years. Obama is incredibly intelligent and well informed, and his policies are intended to make life better for the majority. They are nothing alike.
If Obama's message had anything reaganesque on it, I wouldn't have vote for it. Actually I's rather live in Chernobyl than another reagan like regime.

Let them praise Obama now. It's better than having them try to mobilize the crazies of the crazies (the only "base" they have left)
Seeing Tom Foreskin or whoever he is on CNN trumpeting carnage and attacks timed to coincide nicely with the majority of American families' Thanksgiving TV-watching just makes me wonder (as I gag): Is this what Biggus Dickus Cheney cooked up for the world as his odious parting gift? Because it sure fits the black-ops profile.
Rule #1 for despots/tyrants/dictators/corporatists/fascists: Strike fear in the hearts of the citizenry so that they will turn to you for direction and solace. It's the central dogma of all ideologies including any formal religion. Works quite well, unfortunately.
It would seem some of Obama's detractors want to get on the bus now, and even Neil Young once commented on Reagan's "positivity". if one hardened conservative like Michael can see the light maybe more will follow. Weird, but in a cool way.

One of the more overrated presidents of the 20th century. I'd like to believe that Obama is more than a Reagan. We need more than a Reaganesque figure at this serious juncture in our history.

they're trying to caaue dissnetion in the Dem ranks. They know a lot of folks on the left are not happy about some of his picks or some of his moves now that he has won. They figure if they can start the "Obama is a Centrist/Con" talk, it can only add fuel to that fire.
There are plenty of people finally waking up to the fact Obama isn't the leftest guy around. He never was but next to the current jack-ass in office he looked like it. Obama will do fine as long as he continues to get the support he needs from us. I don't expect to agree with everything he does but in the grand scheme of things I think he'll do right for all of us.
On the other hand, maybe the Republicans are waking up to the potential greatness of the guy and want to claim him as their own...right!
