Heather: I guess Michael Steele or Ken Blackwell weren't available for CNN to trot out to defend the NY Post's controversial cartoon so we got to endure Cheney sycophant Ron Christie instead.

"For goodness sakes" Christie just can't figure out why anyone would think the cartoon had racial overtones. David Gergen and Roland Martin call him out for it.

Ron Christi is. You can always depend upon him to emasculate himself for the Republican party. He reminds me of Justice Alito, who was born to poor immigrant parents and thinks that because he is smart the powerful and wealthy consider him an equal. What neither of them realize is that they might get invited to some of the parties, but they never actually get to join the fraternity. Like the smart boy who brings up the house GPA, Ron and Sam are one of the boys only as long as the frat needs them. In Christie's case, he's a useful fool. It's a shame, because he really does seem to be a decent guy at heart.

Oh my goodness Heather, "for goodness sake" is a much cleaner version of expressing the consternation I feel when hearing people say this junk. *sigh* Tis a sad thing when people are ignorant of or deny the history of their people. Truly, this is an ugly aspect of history. But it does no good to pretend it isn't there.

I wonder what Martin and Gergen were thinking afterwards...

rather than cursing a blue streak or breaking the TV set seemed a bit more productive...lol. I think you could tell what the other two were thinking by the looks on their face during the interview.

...if he uncrossed his eyes.

OH! I'm going to hell for that one!

But seriously. What. A. Tool.
