When Prohibition was struck from the books the crime rate dropped by 25% in this country, furthermore the rate of addiction (1.3%) has not changed a bit ether before or after the so called war on drugs. It's simple, take the money out of drug dealers and criminals hands by getting rid of the black market, de-criminalize the damn things, it's far more dangerous to ride horses than use drugs. No one has ever died from smoking pot, yet more people die from big pharmacy drugs than all illegal drugs combined. It's long past time we pulled our heads out of our ass and see the drug war for what it is, a humbug bull-shit story from the very beginning. Research it.
