If they don't have any...by god, they'd better get some fast!
And if this "mistake" is known this damn early...they WHY IN THE FUCK aren't they pulling these infernal machines outta there?
It's entirely plausible that aging touch screen hardware could lose alignment and shift a little. As demonstrated in this clip, that little bit can be a huge cross screen leap for a person struggling with poor eyesight or some kind of debilitation of the hands. What genius put the on screen options so close together and with such small fonts, particularly when so many of the most committed voters are elderly? I really think it's time that we had national standards for this equipment to adhere to, and that those standards recognized that although everyone has the same rights, not everyone has the same eyes and hands.
The voting panels should be standardized and made idiot proof. Voting should be backed up with paper done the way it used to be, no arguments. When the machine results match all the paper ballots, then and only then should the count be made official. From what i hear some machine manufacturers are linked to Republican concerns, which only makes it more important to keep an eye this...
I noticed that mccain was in the top position on the ballot, and Obama was below. Wonder if all voting machines are set like this - If so, the errors, if indeed they are errors, will inordinately favor the repukes. Those misguided souls who actually want to vote for the same old shit (mccain) wouldn't run into the possibility of hitting Obama nearly as much since people tend to hit the top edge of a push screen like that. Has to do with parallax and looking down at the screen - a simply physical principle.

Just like the Simpsons'cartoon trailer! "Hey, I only wanted to mistakenly vote for John McCain once!"
How can it be that after machines were allowed to (alledgedly) screw the election 2000 and 2004, that they are still being used??
Anyone remember paper and pens? Or is that too last century for you?

If the US is so willing to outsource to India, about about outsourcing India's electronic voting machines too?
At least they made machines that weren't susceptible to fraud or miscounted people's votes.
