Senator Saxby Chambliss held a campaign rally at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta for his runoff election. He was joined by Senator John McCain.

And didn't once denounce Chambliss for his attack ad on Cleland.

...that, over the years, our military hasn't actually been used to "protect our nation" in the patriotic sense we think of, but rather has been used to advance (and mostly protect) the interests of corporations, many of which comprise the military-industrial complex, and the elite global financial cabal. (No doubt we as individuals also have benefitted, with a better standard of living.)
It would truly be revolutionary if President Obama could turn us away from acting as the monolithic bully, supposedly protecting "our turf," toward a more humanistic agenda. Spending our wealth to develop technologies that would enhance our existence and raise up the people of all nations, instead of making WMD's.
McCain, Chambliss, and all these cold war relics need to step aside and let us do the work that really needs doing.

The GOP, and McCain having learned nothing are consolidating all the racists southern elements that exemplifies the "white" representation of it's fringe elements. The recent GOP gathering further demonstrates the southern influence in its highlighting of its leaders and agenda.
This last election and it's race bating will appear to be mild compared to the alliances that are being forged and their subsequent platforms to come.

America, in this age of the internet, has seen through their tactics and the GOP will be reduced to the dwindling numbers that they represent and get yet another step closer to their extinction.

And we get all the ads from Savannah, where Chambliss made himself less popular when a local sugar refinery exploded last Feb, and people learned that ole honey-drippin' Saxby has a cozy relationship with the sugar industry, enough so that he wasn't very nice to a whistleblower exec in a Senate hearing in July. Fourteen people were killed in the explosion, and it was in the news in this area for a long time. The problem is that in other parts of GA very little is known and Chambliss is going with a "simple choice" campaign, having tried in the General to smear Jim Martin. The simple choice is "I (Chambliss) want to cut your taxes. He (Martin) wants to raise them." There have been some good Martin ads though. My sense is that it's all about turnout.
The music he uses for his campaign is Sammy Hagar/Van Halen. Sammy's making his money not from his music but his tequila and his bar. Both are located in Mexico and not the USA. No wonder Sammy's a Republican.
