the nobel committee placed special emphasis on the fact that obama isn't the vast vortex of suck that george bush was. it isn't like this is stunning news for 77% of the country fox and friends.
..the President is doing a good job. He still has more to do. Like getting w residence in a federal jail for his war crimes. Although, I'll be happy if we just ship him off to the Hague and let him be punished in an international court.
I've heard people say, "We can't go after w. It will set a bad precedent and every person looking at the White House will be looking over its shoulder." WELL, what the eff is wrong with that? I hate that we are a nation of laws that only abides by them when its convenient. That right there is what I was afraid of when the terrorists struck on 9/11; that we would end up sacrificing that which we hold most precious, our morals. Well, it wasn't me and it wasn't my neighbor but it was US, the entire population of the United States of America, who allowed w and his band of criminals to throw our morality and sense of law and order right down the pshht-hole with the Constitution and now, we are allowing President Obama to ignore his responsibility and the responsibility we've taken on by agreeing to investigate and prosecute our citizens who have tortured or who have enabled that torture. I know a lot of people want health insurance reform and don't want to be distracted from that goal and an admirable one it is. However, ITS TIME FOR THE PRESIDENT, CONGRESS, THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS COUNTRY (AT LEAST ALL THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE WE ARE STILL A CIVILIZED NATION) TO STAND UP TO THE LAST ADMINISTRATION AND SAY "YOU BROKE THE LAW!"
Mickey: "It was an epiphany. Do you know what an epipany is?"
Keoni: "NOT NOW MICKEY!"
