I know this will sound weird, but I get an uncomfortable feeling about the emphasis on the military in this country. Every store or restaurant I go in has something about the military. It would give a visitor to our country the feeling that we are very militaristic, willing to crush any in our path. Don't get me wrong. I have great respect for those who are in military service. I just wish the world (and our country) was different.
I'm sure the prevalence at this time of year is related to Veterans Day. But I think the emphasis can be seen during the whole year.
That's a good question. Is the military too PC? It's like asking is the Pacific Ocean too tiny, dry and shallow?
The guy went off the deep end in part from the bigotry he had to face as a Muslim in the military.
This report just seems like the comments I've seen by wingnuts, all very urgent, and all trying to get the point across without saying it, pussy-footing around what they want to say, that we have to DO SOMETHING about the Muslim problem. Some sort of solution. Something final, if you will.

Lou Dobbs was no anomaly.
Some stuff you can't make up!
