Hard to believe he won't be 82, but then Dick's body always was old for his age. But I digress.
Even if that is the GOP slate, it will never get elected. People no longer trust Cheney who by then could very well be indicted for war crimes. And Palin has already shown her fondness for quitting (colleges, a governorship, but who's counting), and her inability to answer even the simplest questions without looking vacuous.

Even if this were to be a ticket for 2012 the odds of Cheney/Palin winning are pretty remote. True, there will always be those die hard nutty followers but right now most people simply loathe Cheney and Palin has proven time and time again to be a dunce when it comes to international issues.
Besides, Cheney's medical condition(s) are arguably even worse than John McCain's and Palin can't stand the intense political heat that comes with running for high office.
In my opinion, a Cheney/Palin has a slim chance at best of being successful.
