When we see these "interviews" we need to remember that they are trying to paint GW in a good light. That they want to get their message out there so that historians will be able to find it and "remember" GW as a great man in a bad time!
These interviews will be cited by future historians as valid and not as the tools that they are.

Twice he asked Gonzales if he, Gonzales, felt he had done anything wrong. Williams did not ask any questions, other than how Gonzales felt.

The only thing worse than someone who knowingly commits atrocities is someone who thinks they are doing the right thing by committing those atrocities.
I am not 100% certain that Alberto/Bush/etc have committed crimes, but as the top office holding leaders of America we have to make sure they are held to the highest standards of decency. This man has the right to his day in court and the American people deserve an investigation into any potential wrongdoing, however belated those investigations may be.
It is of paramount importance to America's world reputation to show that we are all equal under the law, even our leaders.
You expect justice? In 2008 America? Last time I checked, we still had the cluesless duo of Nancy and Harry running the show.

Juan KNOWS petboy Gonzorea has only one answer to any of these absurd questions; merely asking them is the ultimate in impunity. Gonz simply dismisses Mr. Obama and his impending authority, but Juan mocks us by taking part in this charade. The former AG should be arrested promptly at high noon Jan 20, brought to a kangeroo court, where he should be prevented bail, then led from the courtroom in shackles like Seigelman. Whether any of the new Administration will stand up for our Constitution remains to be seen.
They will stand-up for the rule of law - when it's a poor person or the middle class who needs to be put in place. Rich republican's however where divinely created by god and are not subjected to the same laws as us mere mortals.

Of course Alberto's first interview after leaving the office he disgraced is with Fox News. Juan ("Iraqis are ingrates") Williams was the perfect choice for this powder-puff interview.
It was a painful experience, but I tried to watch him. I got to the point where he said that, "I did everything lawfully to protect our country." Nixon said similar things.
TV news and in particular faux snews.

Why isn’t this terrorist in jail yet?
I noticed several things about how the Fox interviewer framed his questions to Gonzalez. He characterized the "attacks" on the former AG-cum-war-criminal as "coming from the Left". The question activates in viewers' minds the unstated assumptions:
1) This is a partisan, ideologically-based conflict-- purely political and thus illegitimate.
2) "The Right" or conservatives understand, agree with, and defend what Gonzalez did.
Both assumptions are wrong, of course. The latest charges against Gonzalez are coming from a BI-partisan Senate report, a fact the Fox interviewer pointedly omits. MANY conservatives are profoundly offended by Gonzalez's repeated violations of the US Constitution and international human rights law.
Finally, the Fox interviewer characterized Gonzalez's attackers as "a lynch mob coming after you"-- an amazingly loaded [as in unfair and distorting] term and imagery, especially coming out of the mouth of an African American "journalist".
people must really hate themselves because they work for Fox.
