I poured concrete there last Friday. Smoked the whole time I was there. Even smoked while I sat next to a "no smoking" sign outside the Science dept. Fuck the smoking police.

My company just instituted the same sort of thing. You can't smoke on campus (it's a medical facility) and you aren't allowed to leave campus on your breaks. And you aren't allowed to smell like smoke. But it's ok to go around sniffing people I guess.
What makes this really funny is that they CLAIM it's because they care about our health and that's their sole motivator for this policy.
At the same time they have junk machines all over that sells snickers and cokes that they make a profit from. So smoking is bad but being saturated with corn syrup, sugar and a huge amount of empty calories is ok.
While banning smoke they are promoting diabetes. But it's because they care about our health.
Eating snickers and drinking coke doesn't affect the people around you. Personally I can't stand that cigarette stench going in my nose.
I hate the smell of car exhaust. I don't have a car. Do you? If so, maybe you should leave it home. The exhaust fumes are killing me.

They claim hanging the poster is a "punitive new rule," and those assholes at the Chamber of Commerce are wondering aloud "whether the NLRB even had the authority to mandate the postings."
Two things: It benefits employees, for free. We know businesses don't give a crap about them, but the assholes could pretend for 2 minutes that they do. And if they're obeying the law, they should not mind the posters.

He apparently has sent the federal government a bill for $349M for putting undocumented immigrants into jail.
As the government points out, Parry apparently has been against that border wall; he has been in favor of discount tuition rates for children of undocumented immigrants; etc., etc.
This guy will change his mind on anything just to get elected.
As for that $349M bill, Parry ought to send the Federal Government a check for the billions of dollars he has accepted over the years.....not just Obama's stimulus money, but the other federal monies he has received the entire decade he has been governor.
Because he's a total douchebag, but the state of Texas actually gets back LESS from the Feds than it pays in taxes (similar to CA and NY). True fact.

...why we're cutting back on the American space programme? I'm listening to a Russian cosmonaut talking behind this footage, and just shaking my head. I rather doubt being able to see this mother bearing down on the East Coast is going to convince anyone in Washington - even if it carried the entire Congress off like Dorothy's house - that maybe scrapping our shuttle programme wasn't such a fantastic idea.
