HBO Real Time's Bill Maher spoke to CNN Headline News' Dr. Drew Pinsky about the tragic shooting of Trayvon Martin that's garnered so much national attention. When asked if it was about racism, Maher said, "of course" and if the positions were reversed and a black kid shot a white man, or if it were one black person shooting another, we wouldn't even be hearing about the case at all.

As Maher pointed out, "the new racism, is denying racism." Maher also placed the blame for this type of incident squarely on the insane "stand your ground" laws such as they've passed in Florida and the fact that the Democratic Party has given in completely to the NRA and the gun lobby on trying to push back and enact any meaningful gun control laws in the United States.

Meanwhile over at Fox this week, they're busy proving Maher's point with attempting to pretend that racism doesn't exist while they continually race bait at every opportunity possible and allow their comments section at their blog to fill up with ones such as the ones Little Green Footballs' Charles Johnson documented here -- Fox News Commenters React to Trayvon Martin: ‘Good Shot Zimmy’.
